Absent: Stromer May 30, 2017 Adams County Board of Supervisors Attn: Ramona Thomas 500 West Fourth Hastings NE, 68901 Dear Ramona, This letter constitutes the Adams County Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACCVB)'s formal written 30 -day notice that we will be moving out of the building located on 100 North Shore Drive, Hastings, Nebraska 68901. Starting July 1, 2017, the Adams County Convention and Visitors Bureau will be leasing the building located at: 215 North Hastings Avenue, Hastings, NE 68901. After much deliberation, research, and extensively evaluating our budget, the ACCVB's Board of Directors has decided that moving out of the building on North Shore Drive and into the office space in Downtown Hastings will not only be monetarily beneficial, but it will also allow the ACCVB to allocate additional attention and funding to the continuous economic and community development of Hastings and Adams County, Visitors Centers across the United States are finding fewer people coming through their doors. Instead, visitors are using their phones, computers, and other technological options fo plan their trips and tourist activities. We believe that by moving, we can allocate the funding that is currently being used to maintain the building to instead be used through additional grant administration and promotion of Hastings and Adams County on local, state, regional, and national levels. We look forward to playing an active role in the consistent growth of Adams County and Hastings, Nebraska, and we hope to only add to that already apparent momentum.
