Motion by Johnson,seconded by Curtis that this is an open public meeting of the Adams County Board of Commissioners. No public comments were received. Chairman Hogan stated that Chuck Neumann's term was up on the South Heartland District Health Department Board, but was eligible for reappointment. Neumann stated he was willing to serve another 62IPage term if approved. Motion by Curtis, seconded by Larsen to approve the reappointment of Chuck Neumann to the South Heartland District Health Department Board. Miller stated the bids received were significantly higher than last year. Representatives from Deweese sand and gravel and Mid Nebraska Aggregate were available for comment. Josh Follmer with Mid Nebraska Aggregate stated that fuel prices are significantly higher than previous years. Labor concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic and limited supplies all have contributed to the increase in prices.
