The County could realize a 25-30% savings in energy costs. Nate Barry with University of Kearney and Energy Pioneer Solutions told the Board that some of the changes proposed are storm windows on the windows of the first floor at the County Office Building, replacing lighting in the Courthouse and temperature controls by zones with smart controls that Harold could change from his computer and in the Annex, install blown in insulation in the outside walls. Kris Vrooman, grant specialist, told the Board she has prepared a grant request for $264,000, with 80% to be paid with grant funds and 20% County match, about $52,804.00.
