The City is Interested in completing a sale of approximately 8 acres to the Lyman Richey Corporation (Gerho)d Concrete)for the location of a concrete plant on the site. The existing 42nd Street right-of-way would be utilized by Gerhoid Concrete to exit the site onto Showboat Road and then on to the 42n4 Street bypass.Lyman Richey has been wanting to locate a concrete plant in Hastings for the last 8 or so years and was finally able to find a site that was reasonably available to them. The property is currently being used by Hastings Utilities to Incorporate sludge from the City's Pollution Control facility located on East 26m Street. The acquisition of this portion of 42n4 Street is one of the contingencies that has to be satisfied for the sale of the property to Lyman Richey to be finalized and closed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I plan on being in attendance at the May 3, 2016 County Board meeting if the Supervisors would have any further questions.
