Nays: None Orthmann stated that minutes from the May 3, 2016 meeting have been circulated and will stand approved unless there is a correction. Count Court Clerk Magistrate,Tom Hawes spoke during public comment to inform the Board the new carpet for the courtrooms will be installed the weekend of June 24, 2016. Adams County Highway Superintendent, Dawn Miller informed the Board that there will be a city work session regarding the proposed Highway 6 project for 2019/2020. Adams County Highway Superintendent, Dawn Miller presented the Board with a contract with Simon Contractors for new bridge construction for county project C1-470 on Saddlehorn Road. WHEREAS,on April 20,2016,the Township Board of West Blue Township sent a written notification to Adams County that the relinquishment of the road in question would not be accepted by West Blue Township. WHEREAS,pursuant to Neb.Rev. Stat. §39-1722,the County Board of Supervisors may not vacate any public road which is within the zoning jurisdiction of a city of the first class without the prior approval of the governing body of such city. The City of Hastings is a first class city which has zoning jurisdiction over the area of East 42'Street which is proposed to be vacated. WHEREAS,on April 27,2016,the City of Hastings gave written notice to Adams County that the City of Hastings approved of the vacation of the portion of East 42n4 Street described above. THEREFORE,all of the statutory requirements having been satisfied by Adams County,and pursuant to Neb.Rev.Stat. §39-1726,the Adams County Board of Supervisors hereby vacates that portion of East 42` Street the legal description of which appears above in this resolution, and hereby further declares that the vacated portion of 42'd Street shall be disposed of by sale,in the manner described in Neb.Rev.Stat. §23-107.01 as soon as possible.
