Supervisor Neumann attended a meeting in Lincoln with representative from the NDOR as well as the City of Hastings. The project would run from J Street to Showboat Blvd and replacing the curve by Bimbo Bakery with a right angle turn. A detour would be routed from J Street to Showboat Blvd. The State of Nebraska would reimburse the County for damage done to county roads along the detour route. Extensive discussion occurred between the Supervisors and Dawn Miller regarding the project. With the general opinion being that this is not the best design for the area as it will negatively impact business along the route and when finished, would not be a desirable route for truck traffic.
