Motion by Curtis,seconded by Larsen that this is an open public meeting of the Adams County Board of Commissioners. Roll Call,Ayes:Stromer, Larsen, Hogan,Johnson, Neumann, Patterson Nays: None Absent:Curtis Chairman Hogan inquired if there were any conflicts of interest. No conflicts were disclosed. Roll was taken, roll call members present, Michael Stromer- District 1, Glen Larsen—District 2, Lee Hogan- District 3, Harold Johnson—District 4, Chuck Neumann—District 6,Joe Patterson- District 7. Absent: Dale Curtis- District 5 Chairman Hogan requested a motion to approve all consent agenda items including: Minutes from the July 19, 2022 meeting, claims to be paid by the county clerk, miscellaneous collections and pooled collateral report submitted by the county treasurer. Chairman Hogan opened the meeting to receive comments from the public. No public comments were made. Deputy County Attorney, David Bergin, presented the board with a purchase agreement with VIE CO for acquisition of real estate needed for the completion of the Bladen Avenue Road Project. Bergin has reviewed the agreement and is presenting it to the board for formal action. Motion by Larsen, seconded by Johnson to approve the purchase agreement with VIE CO for$46,530.00 for land to finish the Bladen Road Project. Risk of loss or damage to the above-described real estate prior to the closing date shall he the responsibility of the Seller. Possession of the real estate shall be given to the Buyer upon closing. This Agreement shall in no way be construed to convey the real estate or give any right of possession. If the Buyer fails to consummate the purchase of the real estate according to the terms of this Agreement,Seller may rescind this Agreement or utilize such other legal remedies as are available to the Seller by reason of such failure.
