The upper six (6) inches of the subgrade shall be scarified, mixed and recompacted to the following compaction requirements: Percent Density Moisture Minimum Requirements Maximum 95 Min. Opt. -3% Opt. +3% Areas not meeting specified moisture density test requirements shall be removed and recompacted at the Contractor's expense. All subgrade compaction and water necessary for subgrade construction shall not be paid for directly but shall be considered subsidiary to the items of the contract. Excavation, backfilling, and sawing control joints, keyway, tie bars, dowel pins, and rubberized joint sealant shall be considered subsidiary to the unit price per square yard of pavement. Class C Flyash shall be incorporated and uniformly mixed into the subgrade on this project at a depth of approx. one foot from bottom of pavement to help stabilize the subgrade. 5. Tar Paper or other approved items shall be placed around all pipes penetrating the concrete providing a bond breaker between the pipe and the concrete. 6. Approx. 6 additional Roof Drains will be added with the construction of Dutton-Lainson's new bldg. Location has yet to be determined. Contractor shall coordinate location with building contractor. 7. Approximately 265.0 C.Y. of Excess Excavation shall be derived from the construction of this project. All excess excavation shall be property of the City of Hastings and hauled by the Contractor to a site determined by the Engineer. 8. Class C Flyash shall be incorporated and uniformly mixed into the subgrade on this project at a depth of approx. one foot from bottom of pavement to help stabilize the subgrade. 5. Tar Paper or other approved items shall be placed around all pipes penetrating the concrete providing a bond breaker between the pipe and the concrete. 6. Approx. 6 additional Roof Drains will be added with the construction of Dutton-Lainson's new bldg. Location has yet to be determined. Contractor shall coordinate location with building contractor. 7. Approximately 265.0 C.Y. of Excess Excavation shall be derived from the construction of this project. All excess excavation shall be property of the City of Hastings and hauled by the Contractor to a site determined by the Engineer. 8.
