aggregates shall follow the Special Provision, "CRUSHED AGGREGATE FOR
ASPHALTIC CONCRETE". Of the combined mineral aggregate not more than
60 percent can be limestone. The target field air void shall be 3.5 percent.
The gradation of the combined aggregates shall be such that a job mix
formula meeting the gradation requirements shown below can be established.

Concrete sub -base may require various patching to be determined by Engineer
after milling operation and street has been cleaned.
Clean Millings will be retained by the City of Hastings, and are to be hauled to the City Landfill
by Contractor. Hauling of millings will be subsiduary to the Contract. (No Broken Concrete or large,
chunks of asphalt will be accepted.) Contact Jack Newlun for location of stockpile
Ends and returns on Project will be sawed prior to installation of Base Lift.
Some Driveways on this project have asphalt and concrete patched into the gutterline.
Contractor shall use caution not to damage driveways during the removal of this material.
Contractor shall use care in maneuvering heavy equipment over and around this Project.
Existing curb and gutters are in poor condition and the 5" concrete base will not withstand
a lot of weight.
