Water used to dilute emulsified asphalt shall be mixed in approximate 50-50 proportion with the oil. The rate of application of the diluted emulsified asphalt shall generally be from .10 to .20 of a gallon per square yard. 2. Asphaltic Concrete Type 14 & 17 asphalt according to State Specifications 3. Payment shall be made per ton asphalt and shall include all installation costs including, but not limited to sweeping and base preparation not otherwise provided for by separate pay item. NOTE: Contractor will take extra care to protect all survey markers, located in street, during construction. NOTE: Care will be taken to salvage existing manhole rings and covers and keep sets matched together. NOTE: Where pavement is milled, apply courses as specified to thickness as outlined on the plans or as specified in field by Engineer. NOTE: Salvage subbase in areas as specified on plans or as directed in field by Engineer. STA, 6+42 TO 25+95 21' (vnriPG) STPAA-5512(5) SPEC. SHEET Laying, compacting and finishing shall be in accordance with Article 1007 of the 1985 Standard State Specifications and its revisions or addendums. Flagging and barricades necessary for construction will not be paid for directly, but will be subsidiary to the contract. CONTRACTOR'S NOTE 1. Payment will be made for actual field quantities utilized and shall show precedence over contract estimated quantities. 2. Locations of all manholes and valves will be tied off and recorded prior to any work. Manholes will be kept covered and kept clean throughout all of resurfacing project. 3. All drives and approaches will be asphalted back, as directed by Engineer in field. 4. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to dispose all pavement removal. 5. Any earth excavation will be hauled to City stockpile as determined by Engineer. 6. Contractor will be required to notify property owners a minimum of 24 hours prior to any work being started, so cars, etc. can be moved. 7. Contractor will lay new asphalt surface in a two lift process. Unless otherwise specified by plans or Engineer. 8. Contractor will be required to have all utilities located prior to start of work.
