NOTES:
1. Excavation and backfilling required for the installation of reinforced
concrete pipe, inlets, manholes, junctionboxes, etc. shall not be paid
for directly but shall be considered subsidiary to the bid price per
lineal foot of pipe.
Borrow required for embankment or cover on sections of the project shall
be obtained from surplus excavation on other locations within the project
limits or shall be obtained from the City's earth stockpile site located
at "B" Street and Colorado Avenue. Any earth waste shall be stored at
same location.
The transportation of all borrow required shall be considered subsidiary
to the bid items as so previously referenced. Any trees that need to be
removed or relocated will be made by the City of Hastings Parks Department.
All streets affected on this project shall be graded by the Contractor to
a rural design section to the proposed centerline elevations as shown on
the cross sections or as staked in the field by the Engineer to provide
for positive drainage into the new system after pipe installation. This
work shall be paid for as General Street Grading lump sum. Gravel shall
be paid for installed on a per cubic yard basis.
2. All concrete pavement shall be 6" P.C.C. Type 47B. Excavation, subgrade
compaction, sawing, keyway, control joints, dowel pins, rubberized joint
sealant shall be considered subsidiary to the unit price per square yard.
3. Excavation shall conform to lines and grades as shown on the plans.
Compaction of backfill shall be made in conformance with Section 202 and
204 of the 1985 Standard State Specifications and its supplements.
