A regular meeting of the Adams County Board of Supervisors was held with Chairman Eldon Orthmann was
presiding. Roll call members present: Michael Stromer—District 1, Mike Weeks-District 2, Lee Hogan-District 3,
Scott Thomsen—District 4, Dale Curtis-District 5,Chuck Neumann—District 6, Eldon Orthmann—District 7
Motion by Weeks,seconded by Thomsen that this is an open public meeting of the Adams County Board of
Supervisors. Roll Call;Ayes:Stromer,Weeks, Hogan,Thomsen, Curtis, Neumann,Orthmann.Nays: None
Orthmann stated that minutes from the July 5, 2016 meeting have been circulated and will stand approved
unless there is a correction.
No corrections were suggested
Public notice of this meeting has been given by publication in the Hastings Tribune and by posting.An agenda
was available to the board members and was kept continuously current and posted in the County Clerk's office,
the main courthouse lobby and the Adams County website.The following is the agenda of items to be heard, no
modifications were made to the agenda after 9:30 a.m.the business day prior to this meeting.

Chairman Orthmann opened the meeting for public comment.
Adams County Highway Superintendent, Dawn Miller spoke during public comment to advise the Board a letter
she received from FEMA,announcing the preliminary copies of the Flood Insurance Rate Map. Miller stated this
would be addressed in future meetings.
Adams County Deputy Treasurer, Dee Thaut presented the Board with Resolution 2016-07-19.01 for the
authorization to issue tax sale certificates.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS.The Adams County Board of Supervisors has received from Melanie
J.Curry,Treasurer in and for the County of Adams,State of Nebraska,a list of all
delinquent Real Estate Taxes In said County of Adams,as required by Section 77-1918
of the Revised Statutes of Nebraska 1943,as of July 7,2016;
THEREFORE,be It resolved that Melanie J.Curry,the County Treasurer,hereby
is directed to issue Tax Sate Certificates on those parcels upon which there Is one or
more years delinquent Real Estate Taxes,
Passed and approved this day of July,2016.

Motion by Neumann, seconded by Weeks to approve the chairman's signature on Resolution 2016-07-19.01,
authorizing the Adams County Treasurer to issue tax sale certificates. Roll Call;Ayes:Stromer,Weeks, Hogan

Adams County Clerk, Ramona Thomas, presented the Board with an agreement between Adams County and the
US Department of Agriculture for wildlife and plant services.Jerrad Fullerton with the USDA Wildlife department
presented the agreement on July 5, 2016,Thomas is now requesting the Board take formal action on the
proposed agreement.
Motion by Curtis,seconded by Neumann to approve the chairman signing the agreement between Adams
County and the US Department of Agriculture for wildlife services. Roll Call;Ayes:Stromer,Weeks, Hogan
,Thomsen, Curtis, Neumann, Orthmann. Nays: None
Adams County Budget preparer, Dawn Miller, requested the board make a motion to approve a 1%budget
override to allow the county to increase the budget a total of 3.5%over the previous year.
Motion by Weeks, seconded by Thomsen to approve a 1%budget override for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Roll
Call;Ayes:Stromer, Weeks, Hogan,Thomsen,Curtis, Neumann,Orthmann.Nays: None
Miller presented the board with an inter-local agreement with Logan Township for gravel and road maintenance
services.
Motion by Curtis,seconded by Weeks to approve the inter-local gravel and maintenance agreements between
Adams County and Logan Township. Roll Call;Ayes:Stromer,Weeks, Hogan,Thomsen,Curtis, Neumann,
Orthmann. Nays: None
Copies of the Adams County and Logan Township inter-local agreements are on file in the Adams County Clerk's
office and the Adams County Highway Department.
