Motion by Stromer, seconded by Johnson that this is an open public meeting of the Adams County Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Reams presented the First Wireless contract for county radio service. Bids for the radio system and service were awarded during the May 7,2024 meeting and Reams is requesting the contract be signed for submission to First Wireless. Motion by Ream, seconded by Stromer to allow the chairman to sign the contract with First Wireless for countywide radio services. To be installed at each of the four designated tower locations.Hastings,Ayr,Kenesaw and Holstein: 3-SLR5700 50W UHF repeaters configured with Motorola's"Capacity Max"and"Data Network Application Interface"firmware. 1-UHF Transmit Combiner and Receive Multi-Couupler. 2-UHF antennas including all coax,connectors,mounting,grounding and lightning supression. 2-Cambium 11GHz Microwave radios including antennas,coax,connectors,mounting, grounding and lightning supression. 1-3000VA UPS to provide backup power with lightning supression.(aprx.2 hours of backup run time.) 1-Lockable equipment cabinet per site. FCC licensing Fees. a Nva 416 E, W Communications for the Midwest. Mindshare dispatch console:2 positions located at the Adams County Courthouse and 1 positions located at the Adams County EOC. All positions will have 22"non-touchscreen monitors,the console will answer 911 calls,have 18 channels plus the National Weather Service phone line. An Eventide voice recorder will recorder the voice traffic for both the phones and radios. One recorder will be used for both locations. A remote Mindshare console position will also be installed in the emergency command bus. This console will include 1 position with a 22"non-touch screen monitor and connect to 6 different radio channels. GPS tracking software: The mobile and portable radios with viewing ability at 12 different locations. The GPS data requires the radio system to have a third repeater at each location for GPS data traffic. 1-VHF SLR8000 100W paging repeater and duplexer,reusing the existing antenna and coax. Only at the Hastings location.
