Motion by Stromer,seconded by Patterson that this is an open public meeting of the Adams County Board of Commissioners. Roll Call,Ayes:Stromer, Larsen, Hogan, Reams, Neumann, Patterson Nays: None Absent:Johnson The Pledge of Allegiance was performed. Chairman Hogan inquired if there were any conflicts of interest with today's agenda. No conflicts of interest were disclosed. Roll call was taken: Commissioners present were; Michael Stromer—District 1, Glen Larsen—District 2, Lee Hogan—District 3,Tim Reams—District 5, Chuck Neumann—District 6,Joe Patterson—District 7. Adams County Sheriff John Rust spoke during public comment to speak in favor of the replacement of the county radio system which will be discussed later in the board meeting. Chris Bolton with the Kenesaw and Hastings Rural Fire Departments also spoke in support of a new radio communication system. Adams County Emergency Manager, Ron Pughes, spoke in support of a new radio communication system. 496 I Page Brad Stark with Platte Valley Communications spoke in regards to the radio bids, as he is one of the bidders. Stark stated he is a local bidder and is available to service the equipment easier and more economically than a company from Lincoln. No additional public comments were made and public comment was closed. Manure,urine and other organic wastes shall be disposed of and sanitized so as to preclude the presence of flies and prevent the presence of odors and noises offensive to neighboring residences. Such disposal shall also avoid pollution of ground water on any lake or stream. Reams reconsidered his withdraw and reinstated his motion to approve the purchase of radio equipment with First Wireless totaling$285,391.15.Stromer's second to the motion remained.
