Regular meeting of the Adams County Board of Supervisors met as per recess of August 22, 1963.
Orville Hoagland, Chairman presiding.
Roll call, members present: coble, Kidd, Lightner, Mackie, Theobald, Youngblood and Hoagland.
Motion by Youngblood, seconded by Mackie, that no
published notice of hearing, this Board recommends
Non -Profit corporation (H) license to Meadowbrook

$257,000.00 U. S. Treasury Notes pledged by the City National Bank of Hastings, Nebraska for the
decurity of Gouhty Deposits. holl call, all voted aye. Motion carried.

Motion by Lightner, seconded by Youngblood, that w adopt the following resolution 4BE IT RESOLVED,
that the County Board of Supervisors sell to the following purchaser the following described
property: N 100' of S 150' block 4, South bide Addition to J. Orva Tolle or Hattie M. Tolle,
survivorship for $200.00
and that the chairman of the County board of Supervisors he hereby authorized to execute and delive
Quit- claim Deed to said purchaser. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.

Motion by Kidd, seconded by 'Toole, that we accept the best bid of island Supply Company for 40,000
lbs Grader blades. holl call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Kidd, seconded by Libole, that we adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the preliminary agreements and detailed plans for the construction of Project No.
8-329(7) have been completed, and
WHEREAS, the plans for this work have ben presented to this board for approval, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the -%ard of Supervisors of Adams County to proceed with the
actual work, and
WHEREAS, the Board of supervisors have sufficient financial resources either in services and
work to be performed, or in cash, to defray their entire share of the cost of the work, and
WHEREAS, the County has secured all right of way and material pits, necessary or required for
the proposed work.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of these facts the County Board takes the following official
action:
Be it resolved that the plans for Project No. 3-329(7) be approved, and that the Chairman be
authorized to sign them to signify such approval, and further that the Chairman be authorized to
sign this resolution in behalf of the Board. Roil call, all voted aye. Motion carried.

Monday, October 7, 1963. 10:00 o'clock A.M.
Regular meeting of the Adams County Board of Supervisors met as per recess of September 24,1963.

Roll call, members present: Goole, Kidd, Lightner, Mackie, Theobald, Youngblood and Hoagland.
Motion by Goble, seconded by Mackie, that the following resolution be adopted.
RESOLUTION:
,WHEREAS, on the 27th day of August, 1963, there was filed in the office of the County Clerk
of Adams County, Nebraska, a petition requesting the formation of a rural fire protection district
to_be known as the MMI RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, and
NEEREAS, Emma Berg, county Clerk of Adams County, has determined and certilied that said
petition and the signatures thereto comply with the requirements of law in all respects and
designated the 7th day of October 1963, at 10 o'clock A. M. at the Adams county Courthouse as
the time and place for a hearing before this body on said petition, and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was duly published as by law required, and
WHEREAS, at the tine and place so fixed this bouy duly met and 'gave opportunity to be heard
to all persons residing ot owning taxable property within the proposed district respecting the
formation of said district and the location of the boundaries thereof, and
WHEREAS, careful consideration has been given to said petition and the evidence adduced at
said hearing.
.NOW THEREFORE BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED.
Section 1.That it be and it hereby is found and declared that the formation and establishment
of .the GLENVIL RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT within the boundaries prescribed by Section 2 hereof
would be in the -public interest and suited to the general fire protection policy of the County as
a whole.
Section 2. That the GLENVILL RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT is hereby organized and established
within the following boundaries, to -wit:
All of Sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11 and 12, and the North Half of Sections 13 and 14, all in
Township Five North, Range 9 West of the 6th P. M., Adams County, Nebra,ska; All of Sections 1, 2,
3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 1, 16, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, 362and the Etst Half
of Sections 28 ana 33, all in Township 6 North, Range 9 west of the 6th P. M., Adams County,
Nebraska; and the South Half of Sections 33, 34 and 35, and all that part of S/2 sec. 36 not
within the boundaries of the Hastings Naval Ammunition Depot, all in Township 7 North,,,Range 9
West of the 6th P. M., Adams County, Nebraska;
and in Clay County, Nebraska;
All or Sections 7, 17, 15, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 3u, JI, 32, 331and 34, and all that part
of Sections 6, 16, 15, 22, 23)and 25 not within the boundaries of the Hastings Naval lAmmunition
Depot, and all that part of Section 5 not within the boundaries of the Hastings Naval Ammunition
Depot or within the Village of 1envi1, all in Township 6 North, Range 6 West of the 6th P.M.,
Clay County, Nebraska.
Section 3. That the County Clerk of Adams County, be and he hereby is directed to designate
q time and place for a public meeting of all electors who are owners of any interest in real or
personal property assessed for taxation in the district and who resiae within the boundaries
thereof, and to give notice of such meeting as by law prescribed.
Section 4. That a duly certiiied copy of this resolution be filed in the office of the County
Clerk of Adams County, Nebraska.

Motion by Theobald, seconded by Mackie, that this Board authorize the County Treasurer to make
deposits in the City National Bank, Hastings and First National Bank, Hastings, Nebraska in
excess of 50% of the capitol stock & surplus but not in excess of 75% of same provided such
deposits are secured by collateral. Boil call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Mackie, seconded by Kidd, that the following resolution be adopted.
HESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the property legally described as follows, to -wit:
North Half of the Northeast Quarter (N/2 NE/4) of Block Five (5)
Alexander's First Addition to the City of Hastings, Adams County,
Nebraska; known as 651 North Hastings Avenue, Hastings, Nebraska;
is now and has been since July 19, 1961, used exclusively for religious purposes;
NOW, THE,?EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the taxes assessed against said property for the years
1961, 1962 and 1963 be cancelled and expunged of record.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriate county officers be and are hereby directed to
make said cancellation.

RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, there has been signed by Adams County on the 6th day of August, 1962, and the State
on the 7th day of August, 1962, an agreement providing for the construction of a Federal Aid
Secondary Road beginning at the S.W. corner of Sec.3,T7N, R1OW, thence South to the existing black-
top road near the S.E. Corner of Section 9, T7N, R1OW, and
WHEREAS, in the above agreement, the County has pledged sufficient funds to finance its share
of the cost of the construction of this project, identified as No. S-434(3), and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned agreement provided that the County would pay all of the non -Federal
costs of this project, and
WHEREAS, the State received bids for the construction of this
which time three (3) bid )were (was) received for the construction
WHEREAS, the following contractor(s) for the item(s) of work
low bidder (s) to whom the contract(s) should be awarded:

NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the above facts, the Board of Supervisors of Adams County

2. The Board hereby authorizes the Chairman to sign the contract(s)
contractor(s) and with the State for the above mentioned work.
3. The Board does not desire to perform any of the work with its own forces in lieu of per-
forming the work by the contract method.

Motion by Youngblood, seconded by Kidd, that the following Resolution be adopted.
RESOLUTION.
1. This body has heretofore granted its approval to the issuance to Lochland Country Club
licenses as follows: (d) Off Sale Beer at retail (b) Bottle Club.
2. The Liquor Control Commission requires that this Board specifically designate its appr
that portion of the premises for which the licensee applies for each such license.
3. That heretofore the premises in each such license has been defined only as the Northea
of Section 25, Township 8 North, Range 10 West of the 6th P.M. Adams County, Nebraska.
4. That further heretofore the retail beer license was operated from the Club proper as d
in the sketch of the entire Club premises as submitted by the licensee.
5. That in conformity with the demands of the Commission for separation, licensee desires
license be removed to the Pool Service Building as indicated on the aforesaid sketch and
Bottle Club license apply solely to the Club Proper.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: This Board hereby grants its approval to the removal of said
beer license from the Club Proper to the Pool Service Building and the operation of a Bot
in the Club Proper all as set forth in the premises hereof, and the attached sketch.

Roll call, members present: Goble, Kidd, Lightner, Mackie, The °bald, Youngblood and Hoagland.
Motion by Kidd, seconded by Goble, that the following re solution be adopted:
RESOLUTION :
WHEREAS, a system of Federal Aid Se condary roads have bee n es tabl ished i n Adams County, and
WHEREAS, the County Board of Supervisors of Adams County feel that additional county roads
should be placed on this Federal A ia Se cond ary system in order to secure i''ederal Assistance in
the necessary improvement thereof, and
WHEREAS, the following described road is not now a part of the approved Federal Aid Se condary
System of Adams County and it is the des ire of the Board of bupervisors of Adams County that this
road be incorporated in the Federal Aid Secondary system of Adams County.
Begin Southeast corner Section 1, Township 7, Range 11, Running North 7 mules to Northeast
corner Section 1, Towship 5, Range 11, and Trans fer from Southe ast corner Section 2, Township 7,
Range 11, Running North 7 mules to Northeast corner Sect ion 2, Tow:ship 8, Range 11, and, remove
from System -Begin Southeast corner of Section 5, Township 7, hge 10, running 6 miles North
to Northeast corner Section 5, Township 5, Range 10.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the se facts the CounLr L'oard take s the following official
action:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT: he State Dep ar' tie nt of !loads is here by requested to prepare the necessary
documents and take all necessary steps require d in order to obtain the approval of the above
described road as a part of the Feder al id Secondary system of Adams County. Roll call, all voted
aye. Motion carried.

Motion by Theobald, seconded by Kid, that the bond of John C. VanHouse for Township Assessor
be accepted and placed on file . Roll call, all voed aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Lightner, seconded by Youngblood, that whereau Sunday sal e of alcholic beverages if
permitted by law in the other golf clubs in Adams County, but because of dirferences in corporate
struccue is denied the Lochland Country Club without the authority of this Board,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Bo ard. grant to Lochland Country tub the authority required
under the statutes to make such sales upon Sundays. Roll call, Goble, Kidd Lightner, Mackie,
