Regular meeting of the Adams County Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment of Dec. 5th, 1931.
Roll call, members present: Bauer, Cole, Gartner, Marian, Ruhter, Shannon and Whitesel.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Bauer, that the annual report of the Adams County Farm Bureau for 1931 be placed
on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by huhter, that the annual reports of H. E. Marian and O. G. Evans members of the
Soldiers & Sailors relief commission be placed on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Whitesel, that the petition of Wm. Finnigsmier and other be placed on file. Motion
carried.
Motion by Shannon, seconded by Ruhter, that the Highway Commissioner's report for the year ending Nov. 31, 1931
be placed on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Marian, seconded by -Shannon, that the annual report of W. C. Whitesel, Chairman of the Adams County
Poor Farm, be placed on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Marian, that the annual report of the County Sheriff and semi-annual report of the
County Clerk be placed on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Whitesel, seconded by Ruhter, that the order of the court in regard to
Dodson be complied with and the clerk instructed to issue warrants for the sam.e.
Motion carried.

Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Bauer, that the annual report of the Adams County Farm Bureau for 1931 be placed
on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Ruhter, that the annual reports of H. E. Marian and 0. G. Evans members of the
Soldiers & Sailors relief commission be placed on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Whitesei, that the petition of Wrn. Finnigsrier and other be placed on file. Motion
carried.
Motion by Shannon, seconded by Ruhter, that the Highway Com issioner's report for the year ending Nov. 31, 1931

Motion by Marian, seconded by Shannon, that the annual report of W. 0. Whitesel, Chairman of the Adams County

Re -organization of the Board.
At 1:30 P.M. the County Clerk called the meeting to order, 'members present as follows: Bauer, Cole, Gartner,
Marian, Ruhter, Shannon and Whitesel.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Shannon, that P. H. Gartner be made temporary Chairman.„Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Cole, that we proceed to take an informal ballot for the election cf ajermaent
Chairman. Motion carried.
An informal ballot was ordered and the chairman appointed Supervisors Marian and Shannon as tellers to count
the ballots. Results as follows: Shannon 1, Gartner 2, Ruhter 1, Whitesel 1, Marian 1, and Cole 1.
Second ballot: Gartner 5, Marian 2.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Shannon, that the informal ballot be made formal and that P. H. Gartner be de-
clared duly elected Chairman of the Adams County Board ofSupervisors for the year 1932. Motion carried.
At 2 P. M. the Chairman declared a recess until 2:30. At 2:30 P.M. the Chairman announced the following
standing committees for the year 1932.

Motion by Cole, seconded by Ruhter, that the Hastings Daily Tribune be designated as the official County.
paper for the year 1932 at the same rate as of 1931. Roll call, all voted aye. motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Marian, that the surety bond of the Nebraska National Bank for $10,000 issued
by the Standard Accident Insurance Co. to secure county deposits be approved. Roll call, all voted aye.
Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Shannon, that salaries of County Employees for the year 1932 are as follows:
Road Dragging 3210 per single mile, single man 350 per hr., man and team 50¢ per hr., man aad two teams 600
per hr., patrolman 8110. per month. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhtcr, seconded by Bauer, that the salaries of all cicrl.s and deputias,whos salary is not set by
statute, be reduced 10% beginning January ist, 1932. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried
Motion by yhitesel, seconded by Ruht-'r, that the application of A. I. Battan as Janitor of the Court House
grounds and buildings for the year 1932 be granted at a sa.ar`y"of $90.00 per month. Roll call, Ayes, Bauer
Cole, Lartner, riuhte ohannon and Whitesel. Hayes: Marian. Motioncarried.
Motion by Ruhter, , ondcd by Shannon, that this board now adjourn to meet again on January l2th, 1932 at

Motion by Shannon, seconded by Whitesel, that the following resolution be adopted:
RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of 0 -linty Supervisors that it is necessary and advisable to authorize a de-
posit of county funds in the various banks in excess of 50% of the paid up capital and surplus, and
WHEREAS, the following banks have been heretofore designated as a depository for county funds:- The Hastings
National Bank, Hastings, Nebr., the Stat,e Bank of Juniata, Juniata, Nebr., the Proaser State Bank, Prosser,
Nebr., the Roseland State Bank, Roseland, Ncbr., the First State Bank, Kenesaw, Nebr., the First State Bank,
Hayland, Nebr., the Pauline State Bank, Pauline, Nebr., and the Nebraska National Bank, Hastings, Nebr.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the County Treasurer of Adam's County be and is hereby authorized to deposit
in the following named banks which have heretofore been duly and legally selected as depositories for county
funds, funds in excess of 50% of the paid up capital stock and surplus of the said banks in accordance with
law the Hastings National Bank, Hastings, Nebr., the State Bank of Juniata, Juniata, Nebr., the Prosser
State Bank, Prosser, Nebr., the Roseland State Bank, Roseland, Nebr., the First State Bank, Hayland, Nebr.,
First State Bank, Kenesaw. Nebr.. the Pauline St9te Bank. Pauline. Nebr.. nnd ±h liphrqqkn Natinnal Ennk
on the let day of each month to all county officers, deputies, and clerks in county offices ;rho are entitled
to receive pay on County warrants and in such amount as are fixed by law governing the different county offices,
or upon agreement with the County Board. Also, that the Chairman of the Board be authorized to sign such
warrants, Also, that this order is to apply to county road employees who are to receive a monthly salary.
Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Marian, that we take an informal ballot for the appointment of a Highway Commission-
er for Adams County for the year 1932.
The Chairman appointed Whitesel and Marian as tellers With results as follows: Gartner,five, Bauer one, Ruhter
one.
Motion by Shannon, seconded by Bauer, that we suspend the rules and the informal ballot be made formal and
that P. H. Gartner be declared duly elected Highway Commissioner for Adams County for the year 1932. Motion
carried.
At 11:30 a delegation from Roseland appeared before this board in regard to graveling County roads from the
Roseland -Holstein Road north eight miles past Assumption to the D.L.D.
At 12 o'clock noon the board recessed until 1:15, when they again resumed with all members present. Roll
call.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Thitesel, that we adopt the State plans and specifications for the year 1932
as the official plans and specifications for ilooden, steel and concrete bridges to be built in Adams County,
Nebraska during the year. Motion carried.
Motion by Ahitesel, seconded. by Marian, that the County Clerk is hereby instructed to advertise for bids,
on a yearly contract basis, according to plans and specifications on wooden, steel and concrete bridges
adopted by the Board and that the Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Motion carried.
At 2 o'clock the Chairman ordered the clerk to open bids submitted for bridge planks.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Cole, that we purchase one car of Bridge plank from the Silvey Lumber Co.
consisting of 550, 3x12, 16 ft. and 150, 3x12, 20 ft. full sawn No. 1 common fir at an agreed price of
$28.39 per M. F.O.B. Holstein, Nebr. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Nhitesel, seconded by Marian, that the Surety Bond of Lucia Dillenbach, Clerk of District Court,
for $10,000 issued by the Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland be released this day, January 12th, 1932

$26,000 to be divided equally between Supervisors District Number 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively, in the amount
of $6,500 to each named district. This budget is adopted by the board and expected to cover all costs of
the construction and maintenance of the County Highway system of Adams County for the year 1932. Roll call,
all voted aye. Motion carried.
At 4 P.M. the Chairman ordered the clerk to open bids submitted for County Supplies for 1932.
Motion by Rutter, seconded by Bauer, that all bids for supplies for 1932 be rejected onaccount of being
unsatisfactory, and that the supply committee buy supplies on the open market. Roll call, all voted aye.

ed to procure all bonds held in escrow by the First National Bank for the security of the deposit of Adams
County in the Pauline State Bank, and that he be authorized to sell said bonds for (67,000.00) Seven Thousand
Dollars or more and that the said $7,000.00 be turned over to the County Treasurer to cancell the deposit in
said Bank, and that the balance if any be paid to the liquidating agent of said bank. Roll call, all voted

RESOLVED,
WHEREAS, Adams County, State of Nebraska had and has deposits of public money in the First National Bank
of Hastings, Nebraska to the total amount of Forty -Two Thousand Five Hundred Forty-nine and 72/100 (642,542.72)
Dollars, consisting of deposits to the amount of Forty-two Thousand Three Hundred One and 90/100 (42,301.90)
Dollars, and a Cashier's Check No. 4198 in amount of Two Hundred Forty-seven and 82/100 (6247.82) Dollars, and
the deposits therein were secured by corporate Surety Bonds to the amount of Sixty -Five Thousand and no/100
($65,000.00) Dollars, the Penal sum of these bonds particularly refered to, being, onaccount of each respective
bond, the pro rata share of their liability, as follows:

of the First National Bank of Hastings, Nebraska as previously set forth; Now, threfore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY SUPERVISORS OF ADAMS COUNTY, STATE OF NEBRASKA:
That the proposal of the said before mentioned Bonding Companies are hereby accepted; and that the said
before mentioned Bonding Companies be released upon payment for their pro rata share of the liability as here-
inbefore set forth;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That upon payment to the Treasurer by the before mentioned Bonding Companies as
hereinbefore set forth, that the Chairman of the Board of County Supervisors, the County Clerk, and the County
Treasurer be and they are each hereby authorized to execute and deliver, for and on behalf of Adams County,
State of Nebraska to each of the said hereinbefore mentioned Bonding Companies, a full and complete release,
discharge and satisfaction of all claims of Adams County, 8tate of Nebraska against the herein before mentioned
Bonding Companies growing out of the failure of the First National Bank of Hastings, Nebraska.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Chairman of the Board of County Supervisors, the County Clerk, and the
County Treasurer be and they are each hereby authorized to assign to the hereinbefore mentioned Bondlelg Companies,
their successors and assigns, all claims, demands, actions or causes of action, which Adams County, State of
Nebraska, has or may have against the First National Bank of Hastings, Nebraska, arising out of said deposits
hereinbefore set forth, and vesting in the before mentioned, Bonding Companies herein named, full power of sub-
stitution and revocation for and in be name of Adams County, State of Nebraska or otherwise, but for the sole use and
benefit of said hereinbefore mentioned Bonding Companies their successors and assigns, to ask demand, sue for,
collect, receive, compound and give acquittances for said claim.

Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Cole, that the following resolution be adopted: WHEREAS, the
New Jersey Fidelity & Plate Glass Co. has failed to make payment of its pro -rata share under
its depository bond of the Adams County deposit in the failed First National Bank of Hastings,
Nebr. in accordance with the resolution passed at the last regular meeting of the Board.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the County Attorney be authorized to commence legal
action against said Company on said bond for the recovery of such pro -rata share. Roll call,
all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Whitesel, seconded by Marian, that the County Treasurer be instructed to cash the
drafts tendered by the following compa,ies: Mass. Bonding and Ins. Co $3273.06; Nat'l Surety
Co. x;3600.36; New Amsterdam Casualty Co. %6546.11; New York Indemnity Co. $11128.39; National
Union Indemnity Co. 4,6546.11; American Employers Ins. Co. 06546.11. Roll call, all voted aye.

Bond 43409 issued by it to Adams County, insuring funds of Adams County deposited in the
First National Bank of Hastings, Nebraska in the sum of Six Thousand Five Hundred Forty Six
and 11/100 ($6546.11); and,
}WREAS, American Employer's Insurance Company of Boston, Massachusetts, has
demanded 'George Cronkelton,f the claim County against First National Bank of Hastings,

Regular meeting of the Adams County Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment of February 5th, 1932.
Roll call, members present: Bauer, Cole, Gartner, Marian, Ruhter, Shannon and Vhltesel.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
At 10 o'clock a delegation from Roseland appeared before the board in regara to graveling from the Roseland -
Holstein road, north past the west side of Assumption to the D.L.D.
At 12 o'clock noon the board recessed until 1:15 ahen they again resumed with all members present.
Motion by Whitesel, seconded by Shannon that the request of L.. Yenckel end Fred Yenckel for blind pension be
allowed at 0200 each for the year 1932. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Bauer, that the auditor's report of C. R. arren & Co. for the year 1931 be ac-
cepted. Motion carried.
At 3 P.M. W. H. Fisher and Morris Asmus appeared before the board in regard to redistricting the road districts
in West Blue Twp., but no action was taken by the board.

After the reading of the minutes of last meeting; a motion by Ruhter, secondedlby Shannon that the action of the
board on March 5th, 193.2 -with reference to reducing -ail. real estate'values, including city and village lots 25%,
improvements not included; be vacated, and-thatthe County' Clerk-and-Countr Assessor be instructed to reduce all
real estate values 15%, improvements. included,' as °per -agreement'of the various counties at the State Assessors
meeting held in Omaha on March 164 1932., Roll call; all voted aye. 'Motion carried. After this motion the
minutes were approved as amended.
Motion by Whitesel, Seconded by Ruhter, that the petition of"G."E. Gaymon and others to grave. road # 16 in

gravel bide on the following projects.
1. Commencing on the Northwest corner of Section 13 and the Northeast corner of Section 14 in Blaine Twp.
thence south 5 miles, approximately 1700 Cu. Yds.
2. Commencing at the Northeast corner of Section 7 and the Northwest corner Section 8 in Ayr Twp. thence
south 5 miles, approximately 1700 cu. yds.
3. Commencing at the Northeast corner Section 8 and the Northwest corner Section 9 in Ayr Twp. thence south
one mile, approximately 350 Cu. yds.
4. Commencing at the Southwest corner Section 16 and the Northwest corner Section 21 in Hanover Twp. thence
east one mile, approximately 350 Cu yds.

Regular meeting of the Adams County Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment of April 6th, 1932.
Roll call, members present: :Bauer, Cole, Gartner, Marian, Ruhter, Shannon and Whitesel.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Motion by Marian, seconded by Whitesel, that the Compensation policy issued by the Employer's Liability Assurance
Corporation be approved. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Whitesel, that the following official bonds be approved: Roadoverseers - L. R.
Rickerson, Roseland Twp., Dist. # 4; John J. Fiammang, Juniata Twp., Dist. # 4; Chas. VonBusch, Logan Twp.,
Dist. # 3. Motion carried.
Motion by Whitesel, seconded by Shannon, that we gravel county road commencing at the southeast corner of
Section, 8, Juniata Twp., thence south 8 miles to Highway # 74. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Bauer, that the first quarterly reports of the County Clerk, Clerk of District Court,
County Sheriff, Register of Deeds and County Judge be placed on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Marian, that the order of the court in regard to .Mother's Pension for Mrs. Mary
Wendt be complied with and the clerk be instructed: to issue warrant for the same. Roll call, all voted aye.
Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, sect nded`by Cole, that we recommend to Dan Swanson, Commissioner of Public Lands and Buildings,
a reduction of 15% on NiNW* Sec. 16-5-12.` Roll 'call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
At 12 o'clock noon the Board recessed until 1:15 when they again resumed with all members present.
At 2 o'clock the time advertised, the Chairman ordered the Clerk to open bids submitted for gravel projects.
At 2:30 the board went into executive session to consider bids, at 2:45 the board again went into regular
session.
Motion by Whitesel.,seconded by Ruhter, that the Abel Construction.Co. be awarded
No. 1 at 86¢ per cu: yd., No. 2 at 670 per cu. yd., and No. 3 at 670 per cu. yd.,
Co. project No. 4 at 81¢ per cue. yd., and E. W. Nichols project No. 5 at .792 per
cu. yd. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.

Regular meeting of the Adams County Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment of May 5th, 1932.
Roll call, members present: Bauer, Cole, Gartner, Marian, Ruhter, Shannon and Whitesel.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
At 10:30 a comittee from the Hastings Real Estate Board appeared before the board in regard to having real estate
taxes paid semi-annually, but no action was taken by the board.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Cole, that we recommend to Dan Swanson, Commissioner of Public Land & Building, a
reduction of 15% on E2 SE4 16-6-12. Roll call, all voted Aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Ruhter, that the order of court be complied with in regard to Mother's Pension for
Lucy Blunt and Emma Dell Young be complied with and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants for,the same. Roll
call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
At 12 o'clock noon the board recessed until 1:15 when they again resumed with all members present.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Shannon, that the petition of Wm. Harm and others be placed on file. Motion
carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Shannon, that we purchase from the Wheeler Lumber Co. one car of bridge plank con-
sisting of 544)- 3x12 - 16 ft. No. 1. Com. fir at an agreed price of $28.75 F.O.B. Pauline. Roll call, all voted
aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Whitesel, that we enter into a contract with the Midstate Construction Co. for one
steel and concrete bridge 20xF0 ft. between Section 10 and 11 Zero Twp. at an agreed price of $1500 in place.
Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
At 2:30 a'committee representing the I.O.O.F. order appeared before the board in regard to reducing the valuation
on their property but were referred to the board of. equalisation.
Motion by Bauer, seconded by Cole, that no county official of Adams County or deputy be permitted to transact
or solicit any private business during the office hours. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Shannon, seconded by Whitesel, that no vacation with pay be allowed any County official, deputy or
county employee. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
At 4:30 a committee from the Adams County Relief Commission appeared before the board in regard to securing aid
for the Adams County Relief Committee, but no, action was taken by the board.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Marian, tat we lease the Adams County Poor Farm to C. H. Land for the year 1933 under
the same term and condition as of 1932 except if their be eight or more inmates tc-board and keep be reduced to
$4 per week. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Shannon, seconded by Whitesel, that the claims be allowed on their respective funds and the Clerk
structed to issue warrants for the same. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.

The Adams County Board of Supervisors together with the County Clerk and County Assessor met as a Board of
Equalization as per recess of June 14, 1932.
Roll call, members present: Bauer, Cole; Gartner, Marian, Ruhter, Shannon, Whitesel, St. John and Jones.
Minutes of last meeting were read and. approved.
At 12 o'clock noon the board recessed until 1:15 when they again resumed with members present. Bauer, Cole,
Gartner, Maria-., Ruhter, Shannon, Whitesel and Jones. Absent St. John.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Ruhter, that whereas the assessed valuation as made by the County Assessor and
equalized by this board, andadjusted by the State Board of Equalization calling for a reduction of 15% on lots
and improvements and 17.352% reduction on real estate and improvements, be adopted by this board. Roll call,
all voted aye. St. John absent. Motion carried.
Motion by Whitesel, seconded by Shannon, that whereas the assessedvaluation of Adams County, Nebraska, for the
year 1932, as equalized by this Board and accepted and approved by the State Board of Equalization and are now

purpose of clearing the records. Motion carried.

Regular meeting of the Adams County Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment of July 6, 1932.
Roll call, members present: Bauer, Cole, Gartner, Marian, Ruhter, Shannon and Whitesel.
Minutes Of las-tmeeting were read and approved.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Whitesel, that the State Auditors report of the County Treasurer's office be placed
on file.. Motion carried.
Motion by Marian, seconded by Shannon, that the semi-annual report of the County Treasurer be placed on file.
Motion carried.
Motion by Cole; seconded by Bauer, that the Second quarterly reports of the Sheriff, County Clerk, Register of
Deeds, Clerk of the District Court and County Judgebe-placed on file. Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by 4uhter, that the order of the Court in regard to Mother's Pension for Mrs Selma
Gebhardt, Mrs. Mae Kueck, Mrs. Margaret Corwin, and Mrs. Bess Hiatt, be complied with and the clerk instructed
to issue warrants for the same. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion erried.
Motion by Whitesel, seconded by Ruhter, that we purchase a car of bridge lumber from the Oliver Lumber Co. con-
sisting of 60-6x18-52 ft and 80-4x14-20 ft. at an agreed price of $51.50 and $29.50 per M. respectively, F.O.B.
Pauline. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Shannon, seconded by Bauer; that we purChase acar of Bridge piling from the J. A. Silvey Lumber Co.
consisting of 216-12 ft. 8 in. tops creosote Y.P. atan' agreed price of 260 per ft. F.O.B. Panline. Roll call, all
voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Shannon, that the application of L. Phillips to conduct a Dance Hall, except on
Sunday, and an amusement Park, be granted,. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Shannon, seconded by Whitesel, that the application of Vern Miller to conduct a Road House, except on
dancing on Sunday, be granted. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion'carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Shannon, that the application of C. N. Nash to conduct a barn dance, except on
Sunday, be granted. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter; seconded by Cole, that the application of Carl J. Hempel to conduct a dance Hall, except on
Sunday, and an amusement park, be granted. Roll call, Ayes, Gartner, and Ruhter. Hayes, Bauer, Cole, Marian,
Shannon and Whitesel. Motion lost.

ffered by the Carl Hudson Essex Co. and the Isman Hardware Co. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Shannon, that the following resolution be adopted:
That the County Treasurer is hereby directed, as provided for in Section 77-2009 compiled Statutes for
Nebraska,1929, to purchase for the use and benefit and in the name of the County any and all real estate on which
taxes have been delinquent for two or more years when same has been duly advertised andofferedfor sale and re-
mains unsold for want of bidders. Roll call, all voted aye. 'Motion carried.

At 12 o'clock noon the board recessed until 1:15 when they again resumed with all members present.
Motion by Bauer, seconded by Whitesel, that the motion made on August 5th, 1932, whereas, Carl Hempel was denied
a permit to operate a dance hall except on Sundays and an amusement hall be recinded. Roll call, Ayes, Bauer,
Cole, Gartner, Marian, Ruhter and Whitesel. Nayes, Shannon. Motion carried.
Motion by Bauer, seconded by Ruhter, that the application of Carl Hempel to operate a Dance Hall except on
Sundays and an amusement park be granted, wtth the understanding with Mr. Hempel that no club dances be permitted
on Sundsys. Roll call, Ayes, Bauer, Cole, Gartner, Ruhter and Whitesel. Nayes, Marian, and Shannon. Motions
carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Shannon, that the request of the Nebraska National Bank for the release of a Surety
Bond for $10,000 issued by the Standard Accident Insurance Co. be granted, onaccount of the county deposit being
otherwise secured. Roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Whitesel., seconded by Marian, that the order of the court in 3pgard to mother's pension for Thelma
Robinson be complied with and the clerk instructed to issue warrants for the same: Roll call, all voted aye.

Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Cole, that warrant #705 issued to Fred L. Carrico on June 5th, 1331 for $908.20 be
cancelled and a new warrant be issued, in like amount payable to George P. Hendricks, forwith, in accordance with
and in satisfaction of the judgment of the District Court of Adams County, Nebraska in the case of Fred L.
Carrico vs County of Adams, case #9196 Doc.32 Page 96, said judgment being dated April 15, 1932. Roll call, all
voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded by Whitesel, that the County Treasurer be instructed to transfer $10,000 from the
Road Dragging Fund to the County Highway Fund. Roll call, all voted aye.` Motion carried.
Motion by Whitesel, seconded by Shannon, that k,he following claims be allowed ontheir respective funds and the

Regular meeting of the Adams County :Board :of Supervisors met as per adjournment of September 6th, 1932.
Roll call, members present: Bauer, Cole, Gartner, Marian, Ruhter, Shannon & Whitesei.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
Motion by Whitesel,:seconded by Ruhter, that the following resolution be adopted: Be it resolved that upon con-
sideration of the remonstrance filed against the continuance of the Adams County Farm Bureau and the allowance of
the budget for the support thereof, the question of the continuance of said bureau and budget therefor be sub-
mitted to the -vote of the people of Adams ° County, Nebraska at the general election held in said County on
November 8th, 1932, and the County Clerk is hereby -instructed to place said question on the ballot to be used at
said election. Roll call, ::all voted aye. = Motion carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Ruhter, that the order of the court be complied with in regard to Mother's Pension
for Gertrude E. Preston and Hattie Kimbrough and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants for the same. Roll call,
all voted aye. Motion carried.
At 12 o'clock neon the -board -recessed until 1:15 P. M. when they again resumed with all members present.
Motion by Ruhter, seconded. by Cole, that the board approve the proposed sale of real estate by S. G. Hoagland
Guardian of the person and estate of Anna Schoocho incompetent, as applied for by said Guardian, and that the
Board go. on record,as finding said sale to be necessary and advisable under the circumstances. Roll call, all
voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Whitesei, seconded by Shannon that the petition of S. H. 'teen and others be placed on file. Motion
carried.
Motion by Cole, seconded by Bauer, that the request of the Hayland'State Bank -to -withdraw $5000 Federal Land Bank
Bonds which were held as security for County Funds'be approved for the reason that'said-securities are no longer
required. Roll. cell, all voted aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Shannon seconded by Whitesel, that the following claims be allowed on their respective funds and the
Clerk instructed to issue warrants for the same. Roll call, all.. voted aye. Motion carried.
