It appeared to us there were only two ways of repairing this road- Either to leave it where it is or to condemn the land and make it the width of the road to the west. Rather than go to this trouble and expense, we suggested to Lr.Woodworth if he would cut down the trees on the west side of the 0ads we - as a County - would put in A200; the township to put in 200 to make the necessary repairs; and, should it become necessary in this work to use more money, the County would pay one half of the additional amount required. Mr.woodworth was not willing to have the trees cut down. we did not think it advisable to undertake this work with the trees standing, so nothing was done. We do not consider faVerably the suggestion to dram this portion of the road by tiling. tr George. fN:D.Ki9der. tt Moved by Bitner and seconded by Hynes that the County Treasurer be instructed to refund the 1912 and 1913 taxes paid under protest by the Nebraska Sanitarium on Lots 2,3,4 and 5, BIOCk 2, 11eartwells 'Park Addition to the City of Hastings, according to the decision of the District Court that said taxes were _ illegally assessed, and that the County Treasurer be„instructed to place the amount held under protest in the county general fund.
